Leave the Trees, Please
A powerful and poetic picture-book that invites children and families to pause, reflect and reconnect with the natural world. A young boy forms a friendship with a single tree and, as his life unfolds, the tree becomes a constant companion: a place of solace, wonder and growth. Through this elegant and moving narrative, Benjamin Zephaniah explores our human relationship with nature, culminating in a poignant plea: “leave the trees, please”.
